A young man who has grown up in the region pulls floating icebergs from Twin Glacier Lake. The East and West Twin Glaciers are both receding glaciers attached through the Juneau Icefield. The combination of the calving glacier and the large lake offer a great resourse for the people in the region, daily fresh and clean ice drops into the lake. This glacier ice is then used by many throughout the region for keeping perishables cold and some fisherman even use the ice to keep the salmon fresh on its boat ride to town.
